Luxury Uganda Safari : 12 Days / 11 Nights

Day1: Arrival-Pick up

Our representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Overnight at The Protea Hotel. B.B

Day 2: Relax & a Short Entebbe Tour

Relax at the hotel and in the evening take a quick tour to Lake Victoria hotel. Return to the lodge for Dinner and Overnight at Protea Hotel. B.B

Day 3: Entebbe – Queen Elizabeth national park (7 hrs)

Our safari guide will pick you from your Hotel at 0600 hrs and depart by road for Queen Elizabeth Park in Western Uganda. Have stopover at the Equator for a photographic opportunity and also listen to some few interesting facts. Continue to Queen Elizabeth National, check in your hotel, have lunch, relax and later on take an evening game drive. The park is a haven for bird viewing opportunities. Return at the lodge in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge. B.L.D

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park

The day begins early as we start with a morning game drive and head to the mating ground of the Uganda Kobs. We search for lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat before returning for lunch. In the afternoon we take on a luxury boat cruise (drinks and canapés included!) along the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. Thanks to the abundant birdlife that is sighted, and the elephants, buffaloes and hundreds of hippos that are cooling off at the shores, this cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of your safari. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge. B.L.D

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth – Kibale Forest National Park (3hrs)

After a relaxed breakfast we will depart Queen Elizabeth and head west to Fort Portal, with lunch en route. Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled “Mountains of the Moon” and is famous for the many tea plantations. From this lovely town we will continue to Kibale National Park. Dinner and Overnight at the deluxe safari tents of Primate Lodge Kibble. B.L.D

Day 6: Kibale Forest & Bigodi Swamp

Today the forest opens its doors for a sensational chimp tracking. Kibale Forest is reputable of having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzee, red-tailed monkey, black-and-white colobus monkey and many others. After a hearty lunch we transfer to the Bigodi Swamp for another, totally different nature walks. The Bigodi Swamp Walk is an initiative of the local community and is known for its rich diversity of birds and primates. Dinner and Overnight at the deluxe safari tents of Primate Lodge Kibble. Day 7: Kibale – Bwindi National Park (2-3hrs)

After breakfast we head to Bwindi driving through a verdant countryside, you will pass traditional homesteads and enjoy panoramic views. Arrive in Bwindi National Park, home of the endangered mountain gorillas in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs. B.L.D

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking

The highlight of your safari: a meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi! Especially hikers will love the tracking in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any mountain gorillas. But it will definitely be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest. A unique and unforgettable experience! Those who prefer not to participate in the gorilla tracking can go for a guided forest walk or explore the surroundings with the Buhoma Village Walk. Dinner and Overnight at Mahogany Springs. B.L.D

Day 9: Batwa (pygmies) Cultural tour

Today you will enjoy the Batwa Trail, a firsthand introduction to one of the most unique cultures worldwide. The Batwa pygmies are a forest people displaced from the rain forest they shared with mountain gorillas. This experience will give you the opportunity to learn more about their age old culture while you enjoy a hike with the Batwa guides, see how they lived and hunted, hear ancient legends and learn about medical plants. The revenue generated from these activities directly benefits the Batwa to strengthen their community. Dinner and Overnight at Mahogany Springs. B.L.D

Day 10: Bwindi – Lake Mburo National Park (6 hrs)

After breakfast we depart the impenetrable forest of Bwindi and head to Lake Mburo National Park. As we enter the park it is likely that you will spot some wildlife. After checking in you will go on a boat ride on the lake to view the rich bird life and many hippos that are cooling off. Have an early dinner before going on a night game drive in an open Land Cruiser with spotlight. This special game drive of 2-3 hours provides 30% chances of seeing the elusive leopard and of course other nocturnal animals. Dinner and Overnight at Mihingo Lodge. B.L.D

Day 11: Mburo National Park – Kampala (5 hrs)

Early breakfast and go for a safari walk guided by a ranger. Lake Mburo is the only national park where you can experience a safari on foot. Return the lodge for breakfast and with a game drive on our way out we departs the protected area and drive back to Kampala. Arrival in the afternoon and leisure time to visit some shops or relaxes at the pool. Overnight at Serena Hotel Kampala. B.L.D

Day 12: Departure

Enriched with an experience of a lifetime and unforgettable memories you will say goodbye to the Pearl of Africa. Depending on your flight schedule you can join our guide on a city tour and visit some interesting and historical sites. In time you will be transferred to Entebbe Airport for your international flight. (B)
